We are accepting business and partner registrations. The production GoLocal MCP endpoint, API credentials and self-service software connections are not publicly available yet. We provide tested connection details during partner onboarding.
What is an MCP connector?
Model Context Protocol, or MCP, gives an AI application a standard way to discover and call tools offered by another service. For GoLocal, the intended tools cover finding suitable providers, checking bookable options and managing authorized bookings. MCP supplies the interface; provider access and reliable booking workflows still need to be built and tested.
How the two connections work
| Connection | What it does | Who approves it |
|---|---|---|
| Agent → GoLocal | Lets a compatible agent discover and use the tools GoLocal makes available to that account. | The agent user or organization, subject to their platform’s controls. |
| GoLocal → business software | Reads agreed service data and performs permitted actions in the provider’s system. | An authorized administrator for each participating business. |
Connecting an agent does not grant access to every business. Each provider’s permissions, services and booking rules must be confirmed separately.
Setting up an agent connection
Once your pilot access is ready, we’ll supply the endpoint, authentication instructions and supported tools. Setup depends on your agent platform.
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT’s Plugins area and choose the option to add a custom MCP server, if enabled for your account and workspace.
- Enter the GoLocal name and the HTTPS MCP endpoint provided during onboarding. Configure the supplied authentication method.
- Review the discovered tools, install the plugin and test it in a new conversation before using it for live requests.
Account policies and the available setup flow may vary. See OpenAI’s official connection and testing guide ↗.
Claude
- Open the Connectors settings and add a custom remote connector. For Team and Enterprise accounts, an authorized organization owner or administrator may need to add it first.
- Enter the supplied remote MCP URL, review the authentication settings and sign in when required.
- Enable the connector and test the agreed tools. A remote connector must be reachable from Anthropic’s infrastructure.
See Claude’s official custom connector guide ↗.
Your own agent
Use an MCP client that supports the agreed HTTP transport, authentication and tool schemas, or discuss a direct API integration with us. For agents built on OpenAI’s Responses API, remote MCP tools can be configured with a server URL, authorization and tool approval controls. See the official remote MCP guide ↗.
Connecting a business’s software
We first check which data and booking actions your software actually supports, then agree on the permissions required. Where the platform uses OAuth, the business administrator signs in to that platform and authorizes the integration.
For example, Jobber uses OAuth authorization for individual company accounts with specific scopes. Public marketplace publication has a separate app review process. These documented capabilities are an integration route to evaluate, not a claim that GoLocal is already an approved Jobber app. Read Jobber’s authorization guide ↗ and app review requirements ↗.
What we verify before a pilot goes live
- Access: sign-in, account isolation, permitted tools, token refresh and disconnection behavior.
- Service information: coverage, price meaning, quote requirements, time zones and availability freshness.
- Booking behavior: explicit customer approval, duplicate request protection, provider confirmation and recovery from timeouts.
- Supported changes: what can be rescheduled, cancelled or refunded, and when a person must take over.
For HTTP-based MCP authorization, the protocol defines OAuth-based discovery and access controls. See the MCP authorization specification ↗.
Tell us about your agent, software platform or business network. We’ll choose a specific use case and work through the setup together.
